EXPERIENCE JUDO AT ITS FINEST

Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime experience in Japan, the birthplace of Judo. Spend 12 days immersed in Japanese culture, learning Judo’s rich history on a fully-guided tour, complete with world-class personal instruction and trips to Tokyo’s top sightseeing destinations. Join other judoka who share your love of Judo and an appreciation for the type of training only Japan can offer.

World-Class Judo Dojos:  Over the course of the tour, participants have the opportunity to train at 8 world-class dojos, including the birthplace of Judo, the Kodokan. Our training continues at five of the top judo universities in Japan; Teikyo University, Nihon University, Kokugakuin University, Tsukuba University, and Nittai-Dai University. We will also visit two of Japan’s most famous private dojos; Matsumae Judo Juku and Rokugou Academy.

Private Sessions:  As an exclusive for our tour, we will have six private sessions with top judo instructors.  The following instructors have been confirmed for our tour: Mr. Yasuyuki Muneta, 2x World Champion, Mrs. Noriko Kitada, Olympic and World Bronze Medallist, Mr. Hirotaka Okada, 2x World Champion, Mr. Hiroyuki Aikimoto, World Champion, Ms. Yuka Nishida, World Champion, and Mr. Ludwig Paischer, Olympic Silver Medallist.

Sightseeing:  With 35 million people, Tokyo is the largest metropolitan city in the world. The city hosts more Michelin stars restaurants than any other city in the world, with 14 restaurants awarded the top three-start rating. Shibuya Crossing is the busiest intersection in the world with more than 2,500 people crossing at one time and the Shinjuku Train Station is the busiest station in the world with an average of approximately 3.64 million passengers passing through the station each day. During our trip, we will visit some of Tokyo’s top tourist destinations, including the Imperial Palace, the Nippon Budokan, the Meiji Jingu Shrine, the Tokyo Skytree and the Tokyo Tower. Participants will also experience some of the best shopping and nightlife in the world, at Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ginza, Asakusa, Harajuku, and Akihabara.

Fees, Terms and Conditions:  Price of the tour is $2,750 per person.  Price includes accommodations, dojo fees, sightseeing, trains and buses while in Japan, workbooks, participation certificate, and a final celebration dinner. Price does not include travel to and from Japan. Participation is limited to 30 judoka; 14 years or older and with a minimum of 2 years experience on the mat. Parents of participants are welcomed to attend for $1,750 per person.
